British singer Dua Lipa wins European Border Breakers Awards 2017
Née au Royaume-Uni de parents kosovars et albanais, Dua Lipa (son vrai nom) a remporté le 11 janvier dernier le prix du public aux European Border Breakers Awards. La chanteuse britannique a commencé la musique à l’âge de 15 ans en publiant quelques chansons sur Youtube avant d’être repérée par le manager de Lana Del Rey.
Born in the UK to Kosovar and Albanian parents, Dua Lipa (her real name) won on January 11th 2017 the audience award at the European Border Breakers Awards. The British singer started to play music at the age of 15 by publishing a couple of songs on Youtube, which has made her noticed by Lana Del Rey’s manager.

Lancés en 2004, les European Border Breakers Awards (EBBA) récompensent les jeunes artistes de la scène pop, rock et dance en Europe, dont la musique a connu le succès non seulement dans leur pays mais aussi au-delà de ses frontières… d’où le nom de Border Breakers (« casseurs de frontières »). Launched in 2004, European Border Breakers Awards (EBBA) reward young European artists from the pop, rock and dance music scene, whose music has been successful not only in their country of origin but also beyond its borders… that is where the name « Border Breakers » comes from. The aim of the European Borders Breakers Awards ceremony is to show European languages and cultures in their huge diversity through popular music.
