Du 2 au 7 avril 2018, le réseau Europea International s’est réuni en Normandie. 120 personnes ont participé, venues de 21 pays différents.

Europea International est un réseau d’organisations nationales qui rassemblent des professionnels de l’enseignement agricole. Le réseau se réunit 2 fois par an, généralement dans le pays qui occupe la présidence tournante du Conseil de l’Union européenne. Par exemple : une réunion a eu lieu au 1er semestre 2017 à Malte, puis une autre réunion a eu lieu en Estonie, pays président au 2nd semestre 2017.

Pour le 1er semestre 2018, c’est la Bulgarie qui occupe la présidence tournante, mais c’est un des seuls pays membres à ne pas avoir d’association Europea. A la place, l’association Europea UK s’est proposée d’organiser le séminaire, pour montrer son opposition au Brexit. Pour aider leur homologues britanniques, France Europea, en plus particulièrement les lycées agricoles normands, se sont mobilisés pour organiser le séminaire de ce 1er semestre 2018. C’est la 1ère fois dans l’histoire d’Europea International que 2 pays organisent un séminaire ensemble.

Pendant la semaine, les participants ont visité le lycée agricole de Coutances et des sites de production et d’élevage agricoles en Normandie (ex : huîtres, fromage, moutons, chevaux…) et à Guernesey.

Le vendredi 6 avril était réservé à des ateliers concernant l’enseignement agricole et plus particulièrement, l’agroécologie. A la pause de 10h, plusieurs lycées agricoles normands étaient présents pour faire goûter leur production locale.

A côté d’ateliers de présentation de jeux de simulation agricole ou de badges numériques de reconnaissance des compétences, le CREAN Europe Direct a animé un atelier intitulé : « Comment parler d’Europe avec des élèves de l’enseignement agricole ? »

Between April 2^nd and 7^th 2018, the Europea International network held a meeting in Normandy. There were over 120 participants from 21 different countries.

Europea International is a network of national organisations that gather professionals who are active in the field of agricultural education. The network is used to meet every 6 months, and the host country is usually the one that is currently holding the EU presidency. For example: Malta was the host country in the 1^st semester of 2017, then Estonia in the 2^nd semester of 2017.

For the 1^st semester of 2018, Bulgaria holds the EU presidency, but the country does not own a Europea organisation. Therefore, Europea UK offered to host the meeting to show its opposition to Brexit. France Europea, and especially its members from Normandy, offered to help their neighbours with the whole organisation. It is the 1^st time in the history of Europea International that 2 countries organise a meeting together.

During the week, the participants visited several agricultural schools and animal and food production sites in Normandy (e.g. oysters, cheese, sheep, horses…) as well as on the British island Guernsey. Friday, April 6^th was dedicated to workshops about agricultural education. Among workshops about simulation games for farming production and digital tags to recognize the learners’ skills, the CREAN Europe Direct offered a workshop called « How to talk about EU citizenship with learners of farming schools? »
